I don't really mind this, but it's annoying me to see the exclamation point in iTunes after every sync of my AppleTV, that it could not sync this one file because its not compatible.

Is there any way to supress this "error" message?

It's the only audiobook I have, and it was downloaded from audible.com... Is anyone here familiar with books from there and syncing them to :apple: TV and iPods? Incidentally I just noticed if I exit iTunes and go back in, or my Mac has been rebooted, iTunes tells me I am not authorized on this computer to play the book and its making me login to audible through iTunes anytime I load iTunes and try and access or sync this damn book.

I'm not an audible member anymore but am told I should be able to keep the book I bought so what can I do to avoid these small issues?

Thanks in advance for your reply and help. :)

I had some small movie files that would not sync. I am pretty sure the error message I saw had an "exclude from future messages" clickbox or something like that. I clicked it and never got the error message again.

Could it be that it is a problem caused by not having a current audible account, despite whay you might have been told?

To solve this problem, call audible 800 number and explain a situation. They will likely help you out. Being an audible member, I had to call their customer service once and I had reached a live person in a very short time, and the person was immediately helpful.

On a side note, I have been an audible member for 2+ years and it has worked very well for me so far. However, this makes me worry about retaining an access to their purchased content once my account is closed (which might happen eventually). Let us know how your problem was handled.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah I get that checkbox when trying to sync to my iPod, and I can exclude the error from showing again, but only when syncing to the iPod. The message and exclamation from the Apple TV sync however, does not have an option to not show the message again.

Even though I'm not a current member, I can log in and authorize it still with my "old" username and password. But as soon as ATV resyncs when iTunes is restarted, I have the problem all over again and have to login to audible (through iTunes, again).

What is the deal?!

Anyway, I'll give it another day or so to see if anyone here can help, and then if necessary I'll call audible I guess. But why do I get the feeling they're gonna say it's an Apple issue and not an audible one?
