I am trying to install Win XP using boot camp, but every time right after I finish installing the files, before it asks me to format, it just pushes out the CD and then I push it back in and then it shows some weird message like it cant do something and to press any key to continue but nothing happens. Ive tried this multiple times, and each time take out the partition and reinstall everything again, it shows the same thing. I have tried EVERYTHING.

I don't honestly remember even though I did see that screen a million times... but it said to press any key to continue and it didn't work and i check like every forum there is or website and they didnt help me whatsoever and i tried to update the firmware but it said i didnt need it and all this stuff and now that I am trying it more, it seems to take EXTRA SUPER DUPER SLOW when trying to install and it will say "copying files: XPlowbat.wav" and it will say that at about 44% for about an hour. that was the latest time i tried it and before that it went allt he way to 88% and stopped. I dont understand why it works for everybody and the ones that it doesnt work for they are doing something obviously wrong like leaving apps open but I quit all mine and chose the right stuff for installation.

OH now i remember it was press any key to restart and the other one was press any key to boot from CD. Hope that helps me.... I will do anything for boot camp to work...PLEASE GOD. the problem is is that it never prompts me to format the partition... if i could get past that, everything would work out... hopefully.

Anyone know about it or what i can do to fix it? right now im redoing the whole proccess and it is about 15 minutes threw and only 1% ready...

yup still at 1%... ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT...if there is ANYONE out there that could help, it just seems like im getting views but no replies and to be honest its kind of frusterating. im having a crisis here because i bought XP and games in hope to use them and it doesnt seem to be working, just getting worse. PLEASE HELP ME.

O.K... I have a SR MBP base model with 2GB RAM. I set the partition size to 40GB I think the first time. Then after that I did 32GB, and the last time I did it, I set it for 30GB. I am using a good copy of XP with Service Pack 2. Never been used on a computer before. Last night, the last time I tried it, everything was working pretty fast, but I fell asleep and when I woke up, it was stuck at 43%."Press any key to boot from CD. Disk Error. Press any key to restart". Those are the messages I am getting. So, there you go, thats all I know... Sorry for "bumping".
