Hi there.

I hope to find some sort of solution here for my persiting wireless troubles at home.

I have a Belkin Wireless G Router and a brand new C2D MBP. I can just not connect to my home network. It seem I have a normal setup and at this moment without any WEP or other protection to make things easier. My G5 iMac can connect with no trouble. But the MBP sees the network, attempts to connect but instead of signal strength I see the beachball for 1 minute and get an error message that I could not connect to the network nad the option to try again.

I have tried connecting at the office over an Apple Airport base station with no problem. My local starbucks connection works well, too. I get the feeling it is my router but WHY? I don't know.

I have done a restore to original settings on both the router and reconnected to my service provider, no problem, I had a mate round with his G4 PB, again no problem.

Has anyone else had these issues with a belkin router? is it the Airport Card?

I know there has been a wide variety of issues with the wifi connections but I have not found a solution and I am no expert either. thus I turn to you.

If you can help or have a similar case please let me know.

This is a known issue afflicting a handful a forumers including myself. As of now there doesn't seem to be any kind of fix for the problem. I believe there are a few threads detailing the problem, but again no solution. I'm guessing (hoping) it's just a firmware issue that will be settled in a future software update.

i suppose you probably reset your routr many times?? anyway you should try to configure airport manually ,put ip (see what ip you imac is using to connect and put a sinilar one), dns and router ip manually and see if that helps, you can also check if there's a firmware update for your router, that could help.
