Hello I need some uber help! ill explain what happened and from there any help is much appreciated

I used Ziphone to Jailbreak my phone (worked great)
installed BSD (still great)
installed openssh (Great)
Used WinSCP to put roms onto the iphone (here is the trouble)

*the file to said to place roms in was /var/media/mobile/ROMs/NES

well on the main screen there was a shortcut to /private/var
and i tried putting the roms in that but it registered it as /private/var/media/mobile/ROMs/NES so it wasn't coming through so I figure What ever the /var on the main part had a short cut icon i would delete it, then my iphone froze and now When I hold the lock button and back to restart it it just has apple logo and will not boot!!!! HELP! HELP HELP!!!

please any one with anything even a way to restore iphone completely i will pay for 1.1.3 upgrade again and the 1.1.4 and what ever else but I can not afford a new iphone!

well, follow the DFU link posted by daneoni:

[snip] you need to put your iPhone in DFU mode, than restore or downgrade the firmware. Here is the easy way to do so:

Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold Power and Home button, the iPhone should now be boot.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but HOLD the home button.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you in restore mode.

Also, NTL leave a comments to stated that how to put the iPhone in DFU mode easily. Take it as an alternative method if the above does not work for you.

Step 1. Connect iphone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.

Step 2. Hold 2 buttons until hear disconnect sound then release power button.

Step 3. Wait until hear another sound then release home button.
