I am planning on putting up my 2019 Mac Pro for sale, but am having some difficulty coming up with what would be a fair asking price. Configurations and prices vary widely on eBay, so looking at sold listings there was not much help. Here are the basic specs:

24-core, 192GB RAM, 4TB Apple SSD, 2 single GPU Radeon W6800X video cards (not the duo ones). Original box and packaging, with AppleCare+ coverage until March, 2027.

What do you guys think a fair asking price would be? Also, I was wondering if it would yield more $$ if I were to sell the system with the original 5770 video card, and sell the 2 6800X cards separately?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Probably get more money part it out as separate CPU, GPUs and all the component parts as you can push up the price on the individual parts.

Surely the W6800Xs alone should fetch a lot separately and even the fabric link should be worth a bit.

I feel terrible even writing a post like that. :(

New bid $2.5K.

Seriously, even second hand W6800 MPXs would unlikely go for that amount, let alone an entire computer at a pretty high spec.

A w6800 alone would be thousands.

Thanks for all the input; I figured I would try to sell the whole thing first and see how that goes. Priced it at $6500 or best offer.

eBay lets you see sold items in your search. So if you search for example MPX W6800, you'll they've sold for US$3K-5K in either DUO or single configs.

If selling as a whole doesn't go well. Parts might be the next option as others suggested.

I recently bought mine just under US$3K ("closed-box" Refurb). However that was for a 12c | 48Gb | 2TB | 580x

While there were better spec options. The closed-box refurb was what I accepted for the loss in specs. I trust the Apple Refurb quality and it gives an almost brand new reassurance in regards to the internal component condition.

Those MPX modules are still very hard to find and very pricey. I don't know what the demand is currently, but anyone actively looking for just MPX GPUS are looking to spend several thousand. The few that do show up outside of eBay are listed at original retail price.

A still active Apple Care on a 2019 Mac is by itself worth a substantial amount. Since most have run out or are about to, but two solid more years on it... Yea that's a gold nugget right there.
