Hi,
I am looking for recommendation. I have to replace my current home router, its now old and there is not much configuration possibe.

I am looking for a regular home router, nothing fancy such as edgex + AP or pfsense + ap.

1 or 2 device being use at a time, 7 iot devices, some machine being turned on and off. Internet; 100/30

Thanks for your advice!

You mentioned features that aren't important to you but you didn't elaborate on the additional configuration you are wanting. What additional configuration do you need?

Some stuff like the following:
- Manage, limit and monitor internet use that let you customize WiFi access for every person and devices
- Possibility of VLANs
- built-in av, ips
- Canada, seems to be important since I saw some reviews that some devices such has tp-link 2.4 breaks in Canada?

maybe that's fancy? ;)

on the land line mr. smith.
If you want a simple, clean design, not-much-to-fuss-about...I would suggest you look at Amplifi. HD has been around a while and is well-liked...Alien is new, Wifi 6 beast.

Looking at your list...yes, those are not simple home router features. If you want full-featured, including a share/backup destination, Synology should be on your list.
