Hey, all.

I recently did something incredibly stupid, but I sadly cannot recall exactly how I went about doing it. While using my MacBook Pro, I jerked and hit a series of keys that, after hitting them, resulted in my keyboard going downright wonky; attempts to type resulted in some keys not working, and most other keys giving me foreign characters (usually, accented characters, as well as Greek characters-- I think this is also the result of holding down the Option key while typing, but I'm not a Macintosh user normally. Hopefully, one more skilled than myself knows what I'm talking about).

I'm not a Mac user by nature (in fact, I've only had the MacBook for roughly one month), so I wasn't sure how to go about remedying the situation. Foolishly, I did the thing I oftentimes do when I make such a bizarre error on my PC; I shut down and restarted the computer.

Thus my troubles spiralled. Now, of course, the MacBook responds just fine until the Login screen. My attempts to type in my password remind me that I've clearly messed up the keyboard input massively, possibly set it to another country, for when I try to type, several characters simply do not work (I notice that "I" and "N" don't show up, and probably several more, I simply haven't tested it extensively). Holding down "Option" allows all of the keys to function, but, since the password input comes up as asterisks, I have no idea what I'm typing, and according to my futile login attempts, it's all rather wrong.

I do not have any means of accessing my account or the supplementary account, and I'm not well-versed enough to know how to bypass this stage so I can sift through menues to look for a solution. Instead, I'm stuck at the login page, with two password-protected accounts and a keyboard that I somehow accidentally reset without knowing what I did to reset it.

Any advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
