Safari said "Beta expired" at midnight tonight. I downloaded another Safari and got the same message. Right now I'm using internet explorer from classing (because I killed IE 5.2 doh!) and I'm trying to download Camino. Anyone else had this problem? Or are you too busy scrambling for a new browser? Is this a sign that an update is coming?

Probably a dumb question, but is your system date set correctly?

Personally, I'm expecting Safari 1.0 to come out at WWDC. The leaked v80 lists itself as 1.0 in About Safari, whereas the earlier ones all reported themselves as 1.0 Beta. So 1.0 is definitely getting close.

v74.

I restarted and it worked again. Must have been that damn Dec. 31 1969 bug that apple can't seem to fix.

That's a great shot!

You should send that to Thor. Of course, since you haven't bought it yet, it might make him angry without an explanation. :)

Regards,
Gus

I think this *might* actually be a bug in Safari v74, because I'm running 74 and Software Update just proposed a Safari update..... to v74. I'm downloading it anyway just in case it does something.
