Help Samsung DigiMax130!

My friend gave me this camera with 2 CF cards, I put the cam in PC mode, well Disk mode, and there is nothing that shows up on my desktop,

I went throughout the book,

It's saying i have to install a driver in OS 8!

Ok here is what is going on
1. I plug in the Digimax
2. Hit the power button
3.Movie the slider to Disk Mode
4. Plug in usb cable on both ends
5. ....

Well nothing happens, I have tried 3 other computers.
1. Mac osx 10.5.7
2. Windozes 7
3.1 Mac OS10.4
3.2 Mac OS 9

3.1 and 3.2 are the same computer, I know the camera sees the pc, as it will go in to disk mode under other slider switches,

The book i got with it does not help,

Can I buy a card reader?

I was released in 2002, so there may be some issues connecting the camera directly to the computer. I have a Fuji that is just as old and the CF card I use opens iPhoto just right with a card reader. You are using iPhoto, aren't you?

Well I went to a frends house last night with a PC and a card reader and I got my pictures off, and also you are right, I was looking in the book for the coppy right, and that was wrong, but i do need a driver for it, as it will not show up on his XP computer if i hook up the camara with usb, I am going to buy a new camara soon,
