Help setting up ATV4

I have a Sony TV, last of the big tube models but with HDTV. I have one input for HDMI and my satellite tv goes in there. How do I connect the ATV (mod4). I have plenty of analog open plugs. I have found an HDMI switch that seems to feed two TV's. It has one Input and two Outputs... I thought HDMI was bidirectional...could I connect my Sat TV and the ATV to the two "outputs" and connect the Input to my TV. Thanks in advance.

You need the other way around an HDMI switch with 2 or more inputs and one output.

Maybe you can get HD signal from the SAT using another of the TV inputs. What other outputs the SAT box has?

How are you managing the audio?

Does your satellite decoder have another type of output, or the TV have a DVI input (digital video via an Apple HDMI adaptor with audio to Bluetooth or and Airplay device such as another Apple TV or Airport Express.
