Help? Something I never got about OSX finder windows....

How do I get my finder window to stay the size/orientation I make it? I will set it to be xxx size with xxx width between columns (see pic) and then every so often, it goes back to default. I remember this being like this on all my apple's, just got around to asking now

Open a window, set the size, close it again. That should do it.

Thanks but it doesn't always stick. Especially the width of the columns.

You set the width of the columns by holding down the alt-button, and then drag them to your desired width.
