Help switch to another caller??

I have a jailbroken 2.2 3G and when I receive another call while on a current call it will not let me switch and put the first person on hold. It will let me end the call and switch but not hold the other person. The option bubble pops up but it will not let me select hold current call and answer the new one. Anybody have this problem??? Any help? I have restored and jailbroke more than once and this is still happening. Thanks.
 
Please help anybody have this happen to them??? It happened to my room mate too. We need your help.

restore

you have no way of knowing if its an actual problem or caused by the jailbreak
 
Ok I have restored and jailbroke again and still no way to put a current caller on hold and switch over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
