Help! The drivers aren't working!

I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro. I love it. Its possibly the best computer I have ever owned. However, to say windows is flawed on my laptop would be putting it lightly. I have 3 main problems:

1- Biggest problem- the Airport wireless card doesnt work with windows. Whenever I install the driver for it, i get this message, "there was a problem installing the driver....Code 10....This device cannot start." Of course, I used the drivers disc Boot Camp made for me, but that didnt work, and I have used the driver I found on this forum, and that didnt work.

2- The headphones jack doesnt work, and there is a red light that continuously shines out of it. This is the headphones jack with the little headphones icon next to it, NOT the input jack.

3- Half Life 2 crashes all the time. It looks beatiful, but it crashes almost every other time.

Please help me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

either reinstall or try the wireless and sound drivers here

I don't know about the HL2 problem so make someone else answer it.

This is covered in the Boot Camp documentation. What you're seeing is normal behaviour.

The red light coming from the headphone jack is normal behavior according to Apple. What's not normal is your Windows partition. Are you even using SP2? I'd recommend deleting the partition and reinstalling Windows. Don't bother with any activation crap, say you'll activate later, and pop that cd in and run it.

Yes, i am definately running SP2. Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have done everything by the book according to Apple and Boot Camp. I have already tried deleting the partition and reinstalling it to no avail. The problems still persist. Thank you for telling me about the red light. I must have missed that somehow.

Hmm, you'd actually have to contact Microsoft for that, seeing as that's Microsoft's issue more than it's Apple's.

Ok, but has anybody else have this problem? Another thing I should have mentioned earlier is that I bought the laptop in Japan. The wireless card according to the device manager is, "atheros 5006x."

Ok, well I just downloaded the newest firmware update that Apple released a couple of days ago, deleted the windows partition, repartitioned it, and then reinstalled windows xp, used the Bootcamp drivers disc, then used the drivers posted on this forum and the wireless card is still not working in windows. I still get the "code 10- this device cannot start" message. I am so frustrated...I can't express it without being obscene. I think anyone who sells an Intel Mac and mentions that windows xp can run on it with no problems, should be taken to court.

Please help.
