Hello everyone,

I'm still on Mojave and I think I'll upgrade to Big Sur this weekend. The only thing that I'm worried about is my Aperture library.
I don't have that much there but basically all I want to do is take all photos I have and merge them in Photos app (or export them or something like that so I have one unified place (Photos) that has everything in it.

What is the easiest and tidiest way, please?

Thank you

Yes, thank you. I've done all that. My problem now is that I've imported everything from Aperture and iPhoto but as a result I have about 4 extra libraries that I don't know how to merge. Is there a way to merge Photos libraries to one?

So far I haven't found an answer :(

Does this help? I migrated to Photos back in 2015 or whenever they announced Aperture was going away and it was a similar process. There are a few challenges but it may be reasonable in your use case.

this?

Yeah, I saw that one. I was hoping for something better rather than manual reexport :)
If I don't find anything then I guess I will have to do this :)
Thank you
I don’t use Photos so have no other suggestions.
I was an Aperture user but switched to Lightroom 2 or so years ago when my aperture database crashed and restore attempts failed.
The key lesson from that experience is that I will never ever store photos on any applications database. I have my photos now in a simple folder structure (mainly year/month) and the Lightroom indes let’s me browse thru all 75k or so photos really fast… I did look at photos back then but it just wasn’t what I was looking for, but obviously it works for many people…
