how do i unlock an OTB 8GB 1.1.3 iphone by ZiPhone v2.4?? step by step procedure will be more appreciated..

here's the thing though, i already have an iphone and now i want to buy a new 8GB and i don't want to activate it with my at&t account... all i wanna do is unlock it to any network and send it to my brother back in the Philippines as a birthday gift..

1. is it possible to unlock it without activating it?? how do i do this?
2. do i still need turbosim or any hardware in order to perform the unlocking??

any help will be higly appreciated... thanks... more power to us iPhone users!!!!

by the way... i am a windows pc user.. thanks...

it doesn't actually activate it with any sort of account it just tricks the phone into thinking that at&t activated it so you can actually use it without any sort of account. so on ziphone just click all three check boxes (activate, jailbreak, and unlock). in about 2:30min it will be done and you can pack it up and ship it to your brother.

edit: oh and no other hardware is necessary.

and make sure your brother knows not to software update through iTunes after he gets it.

Is there any reason to believe it will be more difficult to unlock/activate/jailbreak a 16gb iPhone than an 8gb?

I have done the above using ZiPhone 2.4 on a 8gb iphone and it was all very easy (a little too easy!), so am hoping it will be the same for a 16gb.

I would also like to know if there is anything i should be wary of, before going out tomorrow buying a 16GB i phone and trying the active etc - with the ZiPhone 2.4 application.

It all seems fairly straight forward.

Ok, well I bit the bullet and I did it ... I held my breath for the recommended 4 minutes ... and ...

The unlock/activate/jailbreak went to plan ... all icons worked as expected (incl. YouTube and Maps).

I am just reynchronising using iTunes ... fingers crossed everything still works at the end of it.
