Help Using Custom SMS Notification

I want to use a custom sound as my SMS notifcation but all of the tutorials I have seen, only work on older versions of iTunes. I have iTunes 8.0.2.20 and my iPhone is a jailbroken 2.2.1. I have the sound at about 1 second and it's imported into iTunes as an m4r.

you have to SSH into your iPhone to change SMS sounds. This thread explains how to do it. The trick is to rename the custom file to the exact same as one of the current sounds (meaning you'll lose one of the default sounds)
