I have just installed VMWare on my girlfriend's MacBook (2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 1 GB Ram, OS 10.4.10), and it will not recognize anything I plug into a USB port inside Windows. On the toolbar below Windows, one of the USB symbols will light up blue and will even show the name of the printer. I have scoured the web and these forums, read countless FAQs and KB articles, and I cannot get it to work. Under the settings panel, it lists the name of the printer and I have ensured that it is checked as "connected."

Any advice? Any suggestions would be a huge help!

Hi, it would really be great if someone could offer some help. VMWare will not recognize anything--printer, flash driver, etc. Thanks.

Under Settings USB have you got both boxes checked (Enable USB 2.0 Support, and Automatically Connect USB Devices)? Have any of the devices already been mounted by OS X? Are any USB devices listed in the Settings dialog?
