Hi all, I have a 2006 BMW 325i I was able to pair my iphone w/the bluetooth system in my car. I see my iphone, by name it doesn't see the address book, nor does it allow me to use the radio speakers/mic to talk it will see an incoming call - label it from the phone book but I can't do hands free. I still have to talk through the phone.

Any ideas, help, or comments would be helpful

Thanks

Tom

I have the same problem with my iPhone, it does all the functions that you mention above except that whenever I talk with anyone they say I sound like a Robot and cant hear me.
I now use my Blackberry in the car and use my iPhone as a normal phone, I hope the 3G will have better support for bluetooth connections:):):)

This won't help you too much, but it does work on my 2007 130i. I get the address book feature too and no complaints about sound quality.
If the iPhone 3G doesn't fix your issue you could try getting you on-board computer software upgraded. I've seen some web sites where people have upgraded their satnav software which I believe will also upgrade the on-board software at the same time. Call BMW and see what they say, as it definitely works on the 2007 cars.

It works fine with my 330i too.

Try deleting your Bluetooth connections, reboot, and then pair fresh. Also, check if your car (do you have iDrive?) has the latest updates.
