I've seen a lot of posts about the symptoms I have been having. Basically my computer freezes up nothing moves not even the mouse. I restart it it won't boot up the heat fans go on full blast. I've changed the battery and reset the Pram several times. However if I wait about 30 minutes it will start up and run for an unspecified amount of time and then freeze.im at a loss so I've decided to post this error message and see if anyone can help. Thanks

You're in the wrong forum. That looks like a G5 tower, not a Mac Pro.

Unfortunately that dump isn't very helpful. The only thing I could suggest is to blow away the software and see if anything changes with a clean install (and nothing else). If the problem doesn't persist, then it's likely something being caused by the Pace or Digidesign drivers. If the problem persists, then I'd probably say one of the CPUs is going.

ScottishCaptain mentioned both "blowing away", and "cleaning" - both are tasks that you need to do occasionally, especially in a wind tunnel like the PowerMac G5.
Your G5 could be having problems with overheating...
When was the last time that you opened it up as far as possible, and blew out any cooling areas (don't forget the heat sinks on the graphics card)? The CPU heat sinks can really restrict airflow, and a ten-year old computer needs both the cleaning, and the areas where the CPU contacts the heat sink might need to be cleaned up, and the "grease" replaced. (bigger job than just blowing out the cooling passages, but might be causing your system to overheat, and lockup.)

Thanks

Thanks Scottish and Delta,
I appreciate your advice. I kinda had a feeling that it was a heating problem. I did open it up and clean it out. But I'm really a novice as you can tell by my posting in the wrong area. So I don't know what you mean by the "grease" being replaced but I'm sure I can find out. Is it all of this stuff relativelly inexpensive or should I just can it.
Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it.
