i was going to be near an apple store this afternoon and I was ready to pay the apple price for a 6’ charging cable, and a second charger, for my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9. Then I took a closer look at the anker lightning cable I use for my iPhone. It just looks so sturdy compared to the apple cable.

So if I buy this charger and this cable will I actually be able to charge both devices when I’m traveling? The phone is a 7.

Then if I want to connect my iPad to my ancient, 2013 vintage (2012?), MacBook Pro, an anyone recommend a cable for that? Speed isn’t too important.

The Anker power adapter is 30 watt which would work for iPad but I don’t think so for your Mac. As for iPhone 7 should only use the default until you upgrade for fast charge support.

If the Anker won’t handle both devices when I’m traveling then I’ll just get another apple charger. I’ll be traveling for a few weeks in an area where it’ll be difficult to get a replacement if the iPad charger fails.
