Hey everyone,

I've just got the 6S and am loving it and Apple Music etc, but I just have a couple of wee questions.

1) Songs I've copied in from my iTunes Library. . .if I'm in the music app on my phone and there are artists listed - if I click the three little dots '...' beside an artist then I get a list: Play Next, Add to Up Next, and then confusingly - Make available offline.

Now I understand make available offline for Apple Music songs as you're downloading them to your device - but why is it an option for songs I've copied from my iTunes on the MacBook? Have my songs not actually copied across properly?

----

The second question:

2) If I already own a few songs from an album - and then go to Apple Music and download the album then it will duplicate the songs I already have there - can you stop this? Or do you just have to download the songs individually that you don't have on the phone already.

Thanks a lot!!!

If iCloud Library is enabled on the phone (so you can see music in the cloud), syncing and copying directly from iTunes is disabled, so you have to download from the cloud. However, if you sync/copy music *before* turning on iCloud Library on the device, it should stay (at least it does with iTunes Match).

Oh. I thought that the iCloud music library just allowed you to add to your music collection via Apple Music. Very confusing. I was unaware you couldn't actively sync your songs from the MacBook.
