iPod Help with 5G iPod stuck in recovery mode

My iPod is completely stuck in recovery mode.

Everytime, it will connect and sometimes will talk to the computer, and I hit Restore.

Then it'll restore it, reboot, and do the same. f***ing thing.

Is it safe to bet its bonked? It was sitting in my coat pocket and my coat was sitting on a chair, that got sat on by my friend.

I think he crushed the poor thing.

I hope someone has some advice, as I dont want to see my little friend go, and I have absolutely no funds to replace it.

What's crazy is you can probably get $80+ for that "bonked" iPod on eBay, and buy a working 5G for $100, so you'd only be out $20 or so.

Think about it.

I'd like to say that thanks to an extra mainboard, my little friend is feeling a lot better.

My iPod now shows up as white in iTunes though, oh well.
