iPod Help with 5G iPod Video

My 5G iPod Video has recently started to crash my computer. I get the BSoD whenever I connect my iPod, or my computer simply restarts itself, over and over again.

At first, I thought it was my computer's problem, so I had it reformatted, but saved the iPod Data on an external drive. After re-upping the data, I tried to connect my iPod again. It crashes again and again. I've had this iPod for more than a year and I have never had any problems like this before.

Another problem is that my battery never seems to charge. I have had my iPod plugged in for hours, waiting for the "Very Low Battery" signal to go away.

Can anyone help me?

Sounds to me like the battery in your iPod is dead. Do you have another computer you can connect it to to see if it does the same thing? If it does, you could take it to an Apple store and see what they say.

maybe the power IC inside ipod work unnormally so you can charge it, anyway, you should go to the apple's.
