Hi all

I have a quick question. I write so many letters that I decided to scan my signature to add to the bottom of the letter.

Done this no problem, but it's in black & white & I can't seem to save it as another colour (not the incorrect spelling of colour, I'm English!)

It's saved as a jpeg & opens in preview

Thanks

hmm, not sure what you're looking to do. If you want to change the colour of the text you can bring it into Photoshop, convert to CMYK and play the Hue/Saturation (apple+U) sliders to get another colour.

Or if you're working in Quark you can keep it grayscale and assign a new colour to it in the picture box window.

Open it in Illustrator and use the "live trace" feature. Click on "1 colour logo" then click "expand" to create outlines. You will then have a vector that you can change to any colour.

ie.

Separated the signature from the background, the added some layer styles to it for fun.
Saved as png with transparent background.
