Hey,

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!

I am formatting a book for self-publication, and having trouble with the margins. Everything was great until the author wanted to make the margins much larger.

There are only two masters in the project and when I change them, not all of the pages in the document are effected. Clearly though they all have the masters applied because they have page numbers, etc..

I have tried removing all formatting and re-applying the masters, but there is still no effect.

Is there anything I can do, other then starting from scratch? The document is about 150 pages, so going through one by one and sorting it out would be a huge pain.

I'm not that familiar with CS1 I'm afraid (forgotten what it was like now lol)

Have you tried creating new masters applying them? overwriting the old ones and then deleting them?

yah, I tried creating new ones but even though i had removed the old ones it just added the new margins on as a separate text box and didn't change the existing text.

I was able to get this project done by copying and pasting it to Pages, then saving it as a Word document, and placing it back into a new InDesign document. It kept most of the formatting but not the paragraph indents.

So for now I am okay, but if anyone has any ideas I'd still love to know. Thanks for your help.
