Im contemplating about throwing this older imac(2006 core2duo x1600 3gb ddr2) but the condition is immaculate,and would look lovely in my daughters bedroom for basic homework tasks and web browsing (youtube)
unfortunately the latest os is 10.7.5 and browsers fail to run, youtube fails to render correctly,
still pretty fluid the OS but its past its day
I have tried using mac os extractor but it fails most times,
i have tried sticking the new android prime os on to it as its brought back some other old laptops i have with similar specs.
But im running into issues with i believe the ATI x1600 which is installed.
i have also tried to install windows but it crashes after installing window files to a black screen before any sort of GUI
So all in all i would love it to be usable (ive even tried linux mint)
i know im going to be held back with a 32bit operating system.
Shame to be left to sit gathering dust
