Hi. The subject line says it generally. I'm on a 2018 Mac Mini running Mojave 10.14.6 and looking to upgrade to the release version of Catalina. I have tried a few times and the installer fails each time with the message:

An error occurred installing macOS
You can try again to complete the installation.

Does anyone have ideas? Might this be a T2 issue?

Thanks!

Anyone seen anything like this? Seems like the logs might be complaining about an attempt to install Bootcamp recently...

Further to this...

I have tried the following, all with the same "An error occurred..." error noted in my original post.
  • Created new volume on my internal startup drive for a clean install
  • Tried to update a recent clone of my startup
  • Attached a different SSD via USB 3.0
  • Restarted from a clone and then tried to update both on the clone, and then to the startup drive, while started up from that clone
All get the same exact error.

I have also tried to use a Catalina install USB stick to start up from, but that fails with an -9000F error.

Any ideas? This is crazy...
