Hi everyone -- I just purchased two 30" Apple Cinema Displays. I am using two USB-C to Dual-Link DVI adapters to plug each of the Cinema Displays into my 2021 MacBook Pro M1. One display works perfectly -- it is detected by my MBP M1 as "Cinema HD" and works instantly. The other display is detected simply as "Display" but does not power on at all. I have tried plugging it into another AC outlet, tried plugging the USC-C adapter into another port on the MBP M1, and have unplugged and replugged the display and the connecting cables several times -- all to no avail. It was working just fine when I went to inspect it earlier today -- this only happened after I brought it home and tried to set it up at my place. Am I out of luck? What should I do?

Thanks

Nick

There is an ancient problem with the pins inside the power bricks on these older ACDisplays. Do some deep research; this is across the line of 20/24/30 inch ACD's.

Try switching power brick with the working ACD.

There used to be a company that made 150watt power adapters for the ACD. Mine worked fine for a year or two, then literally melted one day.

The30 inch also has a power button problem on the side of the machine that "people say" can be fixed with a magnet.

Google around/good luck These are gorgeous displays.
