Hi,

I'm ordering the new Series 6 with Braided Solo Loop. My size is 5, but I ordered size 4. Would you think it will fit?

Thanks for reading. I've posted 2 of my photos.

I visited the Apple store to try on sizes today. I was size 7 according to the Apple sizing band but after trying on the actual band it was way too loose for me, I went with Size 5 which was a perfect snug fit. I would have been happy with a 6 too.

So basically, one size under is good. I will try at Apple Store one day. Thanks

I had the same size from the printable thing (5), yesterday I went in the apple store to try them out and tried the solo braided loop Size 5 and it was too loose, then tried the 4 and bought it, but after a day of wearing that, it seems like it's too tight, leaving marks on my wrist. I don't actually think that there is a true size for us with 5 in the measurement

The difference between the 2 sizes would equate to the difference between the different sizing holes on a sport band. Are you saying that a sport band wouldn't fit right because you need a hole in between the available holes? If that precise of a fit is needed, you should probably get something like the sport loop with infinitely adjustable velcro.

Nope, had the black sport loop before that and it was perfect, I was using it in the middle hole and the fit was perfect.
Can't say the same with the solo loop braided, 5 is too loose and the 4 is too tight.

Dude I can read, I'm once again telling you that 4 IS TOO TIGHT AND 5 TOO LOOSE.

I was actually responding to the OP with my link. I read your posts in the thread just now, it is an unfortunate case for you. The 5 is actually slightly too tight for me but I know a 6 would be too loose. Unfortunately you just have to make a hard choice between the two. I would go for the tighter one since Apple says it will loosen over time.

The band will stretch out a little over time. And with weather changes, your wrist size will change. My Solo loop size 4 leaves a band impression but so did the sports band with a snug fit. You don’t want the band to slip when you get sweaty or your wrist shrinks some. Just be mindful of those variables when getting whatever size you like.

From what I have read on here, many people who bought the braid had to go down a size or more, because it stretched more than the Solo loop.

I measured as a 5 but I’m actually a 4, so would personally recommend a 4. What size are your wrists and what hole do you wear normal sport loops on?

I posted some photos here which may or may not help you decide.

Only the standard solo loop will stretch over time, the braided won't.

Oh ok sorry then, yea I went for the 4, but I'll probably return this and maybe buy 2 standard solo loop instead of just 1 braided, since the standard 1 should stretch over time while the braided won't.

I used the printed out Apple tool to measure my wrist size. It measured as a size 10. I saw a brand new in unopened box charcoal size 10 braided loop in the marketplace forum here for a great price. I took my chances and it fits perfect.

And here it is nest to my M/L sport band where I wear it attached on the third hole from the longest.

BTW, this is my first Apple Watch, so no Sport band for me.

Does it matter with the case size 40mm or 44mm? I'm ordering the 44mm. I'm guessing size 4 would be idea size for me, but who knows, will see when I get my watch in Nov/Dec.

Thanks for all replies guys. Help a lot.

I walked into my local Apple store about one hour before closing, thinking there was no way they would have any braided bands. To my surprise they had many to choose from, including those in my size. According to the Apple print out, I am a size 7 but I wound up going with the size 6. I tried the size 5 which felt OK, but after a few hours I could tell it was too tight. The size 6 seems to fit perfectly.
