Late 2013 iMac
Hi. My Mac has been running slowly after an upgrade to Catalina. This obviously could be many things, one of which being that my CUDA is not longer compatible, which is another topic I'nm struggling with.
Upon looking in Activity Monitor I wound WindowServer is hogging a lot of resources so found a tutorial to help with this (https://macsecurity.net/view/393-windowserver-mac) although it doesn't seem to target the issue. Step one was looking in /Library/LaunchAgents - where I don't think anything was suspicious. Step two was looking in /Library/Application Support and deleting suspicious folders. Here I found com.apple.TCC (with a red no entry sign on it).
Googling this file it was almost unanimously listed as a Virus and that folder should be deleted. But elsewhere it's cleat that TCC is a Mac system (https://eclecticlight.co/2018/10/10/watching-mojaves-privacy-protection-at-work/).
Furthermore this this article on removing it, assumes that if there is a no-entry sign it's less likely to have been compromised (https://macsecurity.net/view/329-com-apple-tcc-virus-mac).
So the question is, should it be there by default (or is it a rogue folder), and if it should be there is it ok with the no-entry sign? I'm not getting any browser hijacks so is it a red herring?
Furthermore in the file info I can not get read and write access, or add any users - everything says I don't have necessary permission.
Wanting to avoid a reinstall. Thanks in advance.
