Im using categories and it doesnt seem to read two of my game apps. Those games are Crash Kart and Pinball RC. Ive tried changing the permissions on each app to different settings and categories still doesnt read them. I want to be able to place these two games into a folder but it wont show up in categories

Are you sure they're not already accidentally assigned to another folder in Categories? That's pretty much the only time I've seen apps not show up...

Yup Im pretty sure I dont have these app hidden somewhere else. Categories just chooses not to read them. I have my home screen set up so one one page I have games that I play regularly and then I have a folder on the same page that says "more games...". I want to put the Pinball RC and Crash Kart into the folder but like I said they wont show up in categories. I have no clue.

Sorryu to piggy-back on this topic, but I'm having another problem with Categories.

It runs OK, but whenever I open a category up (e.g. I have GPS apps in one category I've called GPS), none of the icons have their names attached. So all I have are a list of icons with no text to identify them.

Does anyone how I can fix this, please. Thanks in advance.

A limitation of an old version of Categories was that you couldn't have a folder name with the same name as an App name. If you did, the App would become invisible inside a folder. I don't know if this has been fixed, but I've avoided it ever since I ran into the problem. For example, I used to have a folder called "GPS". I've since renamed it to "Location" to avoid any problem with my "GPS" MotionX software.

I have both Crash Kart and Pinball RC. They are both in my Games folder. Both work fine. I suggest you look for any folder called "Crash" or "RC" and rename it. Barring that, try create a folder called "Test" and put Crash Kart or Pinball RC in there.

One last thing you can try is Email the author. They might have more of an idea if this is a bug or not.

P.S. I'm using Categories 2.29 with CategoriesSB 1.5.2.
