HELP WITH Dell HDD TO IMAC!!

Hey I am kind of a noob when it comes to computer, but i've found my old Dell

Hard drive recently, and i was wondering if it was possible to transfer all my

old pictures and files etc. to my alu imac? The HDD is from Dell 8400, could

a SATA to USB cable be the solution?

You'll need to put it in some sort of hard drive enclosure and then connect it to your Mac. Look for a 3.5" external enclosure (or whatever size your drive is) or something on Newegg or Amazon.

If the HDD has an S-ATA interface, you need such cable plus power, as that HDD is probably 3.5".

The cable you need is an IDE/Sata to USB. I have 4 of them at work, life savers!
