Help with external monitor?

Could you please check if I have all the cables necessary to hook up my Macbook Pro 17'' to this Vizio monitor? I got the mini display port to HDMI converter, and an HDMI cable. Is there anything else I need or do you have recommendations for a different brand?

Seems to me that that is all that you would need. As long as you are running a new Unibody Macbook, you are all set!
