help with GV Mobile

Im pretty new to the whole google voice thing, but i got the concept down. Im having a problem when trying to make a call using the GV Mobile google voice app. I dial a number and hit "call" the app automatically adds my google voice number to the front of the number dialed. Before it can get to the number i am trying to call, my google voice account answers and asks for my 4 digit pin. The problem is the app is trying to dial the entire 20 digit number (my google voice number + the number i am trying to call). Can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong?

Can anyone help me here? I find it hard to believe noone elses app does this.
