As part of my latest theme, I'm trying to add a custom home screen by making it with HTML. The problem I'm having is that when I go to the spotlight page, the HTML page seems to be rendered on top of the "dimming" effect, as nothing changes. As my HTML page is mostly white, this makes it look quite unsightly.
Not only that, transitions into apps don't look quite right either. I have a custom dock image in the HTML page, and the app seems to launch between the background and the dock image, only moving in front of the image towards the end of the opening animation.

Does anyone know what is causing this, or how I can fix it? I'm on an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.2
