Hi,

I'm having some trouble with my iLife '11 install from the DVD. I installed Yosemite and now I've installed iLife but I can't update them so they won't run. When I run Updates in the MAS it searches for a while but iPhoto etc don't show. Tried all the usual, Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Lee

If they are available I can't find them anywhere on the web

The latest copies of the applications are available on Apple's Support site. There is no "combo update" for iLife and therefore you will need to download the updates for each individual application.

The latest version of iPhoto on the apple support site is 9.4.3. I have installed this and it still won't run.

The apps as they come on the iLife DVD won't run as they are, but users of iLife '11 are entitled to free updates to the latest version. These normally arrive via the MAS but they don't show up under Yosemite.

Did you upgrade your previous system or made a ‘clean’ install? There were some issues with the recognition of non-MAS versions of iWork. My solution at the time was to create and log into another user account or to log into the guest account. The iWork updates should show up in the MAS then.

I did a clean install of Mavericks and then installed Yosemite. I didn't install iLife until Yosemite was installed. I've tried logging into Guest and creating a new user account but they still don't appear in the MAS.

If you’ve tried everything else (including logging into different accounts as well as logging in/out of your App Store account) then I suppose Yosemite is not supported yet. This is a server-side issue anyway, so perhaps it requires a change there that Apple hasn’t implemented yet.

You need to install iLife on a mavericks partition, then upgrade from the MAS, then install Yosemite.

I was able to successfully install iPhoto, and iMovie from the MAS doing it this way
