Hello, I've just ordered a 2.8, 2GB, 8800 with 500GB HD

Please could you tell me where to get the cheapest RAM and exactly which one to get. A link would be great! Thanks so much in advance, you guys are really helpful!

Also, where should I sell the 2GB I get with my iMac to begin with?

Come on now. There are hundreds of posts on this, and FAQs. Take a few minutes to do a search.

I've used your input and it wasn't successful

I'm not allowed to collect input from more than one person?

Thanks for trying to help though

I call this the Perl Programmer Response. If you ask any question on a Perl discussion forum, you'll get every explanation in the world as to how the answer to your question could have been answered in some alternate method and/or why it didn't make any sense to ask it in the first place, the primary gripe being the waste of everyone's time. Meanwhile, the people griping about the waste of everyone's time are wasting their time doing everything but answering the ****ing question.

To whaaat: try Other World Computing. They generally have the best prices, are fast shipping and they do their homework as far as compatibility with whatever Mac you're looking to upgrade. I've bought from them several times and have been very pleased with the service and product.

Eloquent sounding, but ridiculous. Telling a lazy newbie to "do a search" before asking a basic, common question is far from:

"every explanation in the world as to how the answer to your question could have been answered in some alternate method and/or why it didn't make any sense to ask it in the first place".

How much would one be able to sell the 2GB from Apple for after upgrading to 4GB?

I am thinking of getting 4GB from Apple on my next machine. Am I being stupid? Why? Give me numbers please!

Yes you are because according to forum rules you are not allowed to ask for prices for items you may have for sale outside of the marketplace forum.

I am not saying that I would like to sell my ram here DUH!

I just wanted to see why almost everyone here is buying ram from third parties. Are those the same performance as the Samsung ones by Apple?
