My wife's new computer is my old 2018 mini. Everything is set up with one issue. My wife doesn't have an iphone but she can send and receive texts using her email address. I have confirmed that is working.
My problem is none of her old texts from family are showing up now on the new puter. Am I missing a setting somewhere that will enable the old texts to show up on her new computer?

Thanks

Not sure if this will help - you may have already tried all this - see the screen shot below from the help menu

Might be worth checking this list? Especially the first 3 points?

Yeah I echo what above poster said. Make sure "Messages in the cloud" is enabled on BOTH computers.

Then she’s gotta either:
- update macos
- sign in to icloud
- find where else the setting may be hiding

Check to make sure her email is checked as the primary means of iMessage for her (send and receive) on the Mac.
Bingo, I think. That is the ONLY way she can text through iMessage. But still no block to enable imessages in icloud. I'm guessing it's because she doesn't have, nor want, an iPhone.
