help with iphoto slide show

Hoping someone might be able to assist.
I have a macbook pro and recently put a slide show together using iphoto, slideshow. I attached music and it was great on the laptop however when I exported the project the music did not start from the beginning and there seems to be no way around fixing this. When I play it on the computer it is fine, the music is there. I have a friend who has the same problem.
Any helpers out there, I would appreciate it.

I guess no one else has come across this or has the answer.

I had issues with songs slowly fading in and out (like a one minute slow fade). So I put all the songs together in garageband and saved it as one song and that seemed to work for me. Good luck...it can be very frustrating!
