I'm new to iOS and Apple in general. I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 6. I'm going on my second month with my iPhone and my goal is to import photos from my iPhone to iPhoto on my laptop monthly. The first time I imported the photos to iPhoto, it worked without a hitch, and even deleted them from my phone, freeing up space, which is what I wanted. Now, when I import to iPhoto, and select the option to delete from iPhone, it shows a status bar deleting the photos, but when I go into the photo app on the iPhone, the photos are still there. Can anyone help me figure out how to delete the photos on my phone since they have already been imported to iPhoto, to help free up space?

Thanks!

Are they in the Recently Deleted album? Go to that album and Delete All?

They are in the recently deleted album, plus the camera roll, even after I've selected the option in iPhoto to delete photos on the phone. I will try to delete from recently deleted album.

I just deleted from recently deleted album and they still remain in the camera roll. I've already backed up photos and no longer want them consuming space.

Problem solved. I turned off iCloud and photo stream in the iP6 settings and then once I synced the phone to my MacBook, the delete photos option in iPhoto came up and I chose to delete the photos from my camera roll, and that fixed my issue.
