So I have the new 12.9” (1TB) iPad Pro. It seems really nice, but there are some limitations with it. I also have a 2015 12.9”. I was using them together. Older ones for emails and browsing - the new one for designing. I do have 17 tabs open in chrome and I do get the refreshing when I open back to this one on the new one. This morning the 2015 deleted a post I was writing in the web browser of my WordPress blog...

I do graphic design. Have not tried to see if I can do any design changes to my blog. Or even if you can do some coding and save the file with the right extension etc.

SO I have been debating about buying a low end computer - ie the base new Mac mini or a cheap windows small computer (I want the form factor) to work with my iPP. But I also have some other options....

1. Keep 1 TB iPP and buy low end Mac mini or pc (emails?, browsing and things I can’t do very efficiently on the iPP yet).

2. Trade 1 TB for 256gb iPP (saves $800) and get a mid range Mac.... Mac mini specked out a bit i5 with 16 gab ram or i7 with 16 gab ram - both would have 256 sad (I have many external HDD) I even have an iMac in there - 21”, 3ghz as is. These are all between $1200 to $1400 before Apple care. I have not checked out the MacBook pros that might be in this price range yet.

3. MBP 15” i7 - 16gb ram 256 ssd. I am pretty sure that beats out the iMac 27’ i7 with 16gb ram, since we have 7th gen vs 8th gen..... I would use my 2015 iPP for drawing and not the other things I use Photoshop or Affinity Photo.

I think with apple care etc they would all end up to be about the same amount of money around $3000. I am also looking for Black Friday deals - but I don’t think I have seen anything for the above.

So any recommendations on which of these sound better? The new iPP is a beast.... but files system, zipping Files etc, can be difficult. I am stuck for sure with a private (sign in) business site that still uses flash to upload zip files. No work around on the iPP. So it won’t work as my only device....

Why not get a 2018 27" iMac with an SSD? (Avoid the Fusion drive.) Once you work on the iMac's 5k 5120-by-2880 P3 display, you will never want to work on anything else.
