Ok so I really wanna jailbreak my iPhone 5 but I'm really nervous it might "brick" even though its a rare occurrence. I was thinking of using Evasi0n to complete the jailbreak but I need an opinion on what is best to use.. Also before you jailbreak you have to create a back up, and I'm not sure if that means just to back it up and Keep everything on your phone how it is, or back it up and restore it to factory settings then do the jailbreak and put everything back on it? Please help!

evasi0n is your only choice as far as jailbreaking your iPhone 5 goes. Do the following:
1. Connect your phone to iTunes and perform a backup.
2. Restore your phone using "Restore iPhone" button.
3. After restore completes, restore your phone from backup done in Step #1.
4. Download evasi0n and jailbreak your phone.
Dude there's no need for 2 threads back to back posting the EXACT same thing.
-Evasion is the only tool you can use
-Backup your phone with iCloud or iTunes
-Restore your device to 6.1
-Jailbreak device with evasion
-Sync everything back on your device
FYI it's IMPOSSIBLE to brick your device with evasion. What you do with root access is your decision. You could screw something up forcing a DFU restore, but unless your hacking the hardware, you will never brick your device. It'll always be fixable by at least a DFU restore barring any hardware failure.

Spend a few hours reading and learning just search jailbreaking restoring best tweaks etc. reading and learning is only going to benefit you.
Ideally, it's impossible to brick an ios device because of dfu mode. Unless you are an advanced user and deliberately trying to brick the device. Worst case scenario, you will have to restore in dfu mode.
