Help with JB- 3.1.2

Hello,

I am trying to jailbreak my phone, and I currently have 3.1.2 and the iTunes. 9.0.3. I am following the tutorial on iClarified http://iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=7449 and downloaded the latest firmware and Redsn0w 0.9.2 But when I try and restore the phone by pressing shift and restore this is what happens. Please look at picture below. Thanks for any help that you can give me <M>

You didn't say, but you must have a 3GS.

This tutorial is out of date since Apple isn't signing 3.1.2 IPSW any longer.

Edit: Without SHSH saved, you cannot JB to 3.1.2

I noticed that 3.1.3 is jailbroken. Will I be successful then?

This is not true. It is possible to jailbreak a 3GS with 3.1.2 using redsn0w. You just skip the part in the iClarified tutorial where it says to restore. redsn0w does not require a restore; it's just advisable to have a fresh phone when jailbreaking. Since that's no longer an option, just skip right to the running redsn0w.

thelatinest is correct. Redsn0w will do what you want. My error again !

If I JB my 3.1.2 with redsn0w (already JB with blackra1n) will it help with the notifications issue that I currently have (they don't work and iPhone prompts "Connect to iTunes to use Notifications". I wanted to restore as I know that will resolve the issue but I can't as I don't have the SHSH keys saved :(

My iPhone is a MC version.

Will JB using redsn0w help? Can't see how, but thought I might ask...
