I have been wanting to use the mail function on my iphone for a while and so have decided to try. I use fsmail and really don't want to change since everythings linked to that email,I have just made a gmail account though. Is there any way to make it so my gmail account recieves the emails my other account does so i can check my emails through gmail on my iphone.

I hope thats worded simple enough. Thanks.

Go to your Gmail mail page. Click on Settings, then Accounts. There is a "Get Mail From Other Accounts" option there.

.

I've just tried that and it came up with something about the pop settings, can anyone help me with this part?

also if i do this will my gmail get any emails sent to my other email afterwards?

I don't know about the email account which you referred to that you want to use. Is it a POP account or an internet (gmail/hotmail-like) account? You'll need to get the settings for that account to enter into the gmail configuration for that account. (Sorry, but I'm no expert at that sort of thing.)

Once you've done that, you should get your mail at the original site in addition to receiving it in gmail.

.

Well you have to use a browser so i'm guessing its internet based like gmail and hotmail. Where would i find the settings for it? Also my email is now orange fsmail is what it used to be quite a long time ago.

sorry for all the nooby questions :(

As I say I'm no expert, but I would suggest doing a Google search for configuring your email (use its name in your search) to use with Gmail.

Or just go to the Settings/Accounts option I mentioned above and see what settings they ask you for, then to your email's web page to find that info. Can also try searching Google's (or Gmail's) Help pages on how to set up your account in Gmail.
