Help with MacBook

Im having a problem with with my mac book and was just wondering if you guys can help?

My dad was using my mac book and was on comets website looking for a cooker, and the keyboard and mouse track pad stopped working. But the stranage thing is i can turn on the macbook and use my wireless mouse with it?

iv shut down and restarted numerous times!

Any ideas??????

Dunno what could have started this but try unplugging all your peripherals and resetting the PMU.
