help with Mail

so my mail has been working great ever since new. but now my mail says that i have 7 new messages, and it asks me to load the new email. nothing shows up. it just keeps saying that i have 7 emails. theres not even on icon on the home screen telling me that i have an email

try re-starting your iphone. i had a similar problem with visual voicemail once, and re-booting fixed it.
