Hi,
I recently got a new iPhone and I lost almost 8 years of Health data after using iCloud restore. I have sync to iCloud turned on and have gone through a few Apple Watches and iPhones without issues until this time.
I also have an iPad that’s set to sync with iCloud Health and it has all data still, though it has plenty of different data sources (not just Health app).
I tried toggling the sync off and on on the iPhone but then I noticed that for some reason Health on iCloud is taking only 20mb which doesn’t make sense for 8 years of metrics.
I’ve tried also toggling the sync on my iPad’s settings but it doesn’t trigger an upload of all my data from the iPad to iCloud.
I want to try something and I would really appreciate feedback if it would work and not cause even more data loss:
-Switch off Health iCloud sync on the iPad and choose keep a copy of my data on device.
-Switch off Health iCloud sync on my iPhone and choose to delete the data.
-Delete the 20mb of Health data on iCloud.
-Turn on iCloud sync on the iPad to trigger uploading all the data to iCloud.
-Verify that the size in iCloud is much larger than 20mb and more logical for 8 years of data.
-Turn on iCloud sync on my iPhone and hopefully have my years of workouts, steps, Fitness awards and all back.
Thanks!
