I have an older 20inch apple monitor (the ones with the plastic enclosure) and I want to hook it up to my mac pro but do not know if I can.

There is not any kind of connector on the mac pro for this kind of monitor, does anyone know of an adaptor I could use?

Your monitor uses the ADC connector, while the Mac Pro uses DVI connections. So you'd need a DVI-to-ADC adapter...Apple's adapter costs about $100. (Don't get the much cheaper ADC-to-DVI adapter, as that's for connecting a newer DVI display to an older ADC Mac.)
