My dad made his Apple ID years ago, so everything ever purchased or associated with iTunes or apple whatsoever has been tied to this account. After trouble with linked contacts (mainly me having all four hundred thousand of his contacts on my phone and not being able to delete them because he loses them too) and countless other inconveniences, I've decided it's time to create my own apple id and iCloud account.
However, I've had my iPhone for about 5 years and restored from backups ever since then. I really don't want to have to lose all of my data, not to mention every app, song, or movie I've purchased through iTunes over the years. Also (last thing I promise), I think that any contacts I've added since the linked contacts update would be lost as well since they all seem to be connected through iCloud now. Is there any way to create my own accounts without losing all or any of this? Thank you all in advance!

Keep your dads AppleID for itunes if thats where you've purchased everything but use an iCloud account for your back up.

How big is your phones "usage"?

Usage as far as available memory or iCloud storage?
And I know in the long run I'll need my own AppleID, I've heard of people in the same situation being able to resolve it but I don't know how, do you know if this is in any way possible?

Not sure about the AppleID for iTunes. That will be massively tricky. I've helped my boss separate 5 users on 1 iCloud account but that pretty easy.

If you go to settings/icloud/storage and back up/manage storage/ it should tell you how much of you phone is being backed up and if you can fit it in 5gb of free storage.
