Help with music app 'sorting'

What I want is simple. I want my artists listed ALPHABETICALLY. Then I want their albums listed ALPHABETICALLY, no consideration given to album year AT ALL.

In iOS 9, when I select an artist, the list of albums by that artist is arranged with those with album years appearing first (in descending order), followed by those without album years appearing in alphabetical order. This is completely irrational. It lacks cohesion.

I don't want any sorting by album year at all. Just the good old alphabet, like I learned in kindergarten and have used in EVERY LIBRARY I've ever been in. Just the alphabet. 26 letters. In order the same order of appearance as on those big strips above the blackboard in EVERY kindergarten class in the USA.

Go into Settings, then Music > Sort Albums and then "By Title".

Thanks. That only changes things if I am viewing my library by album, but if I am viewing it by artist, then, when I select an artist, the albums are still listed first by album year and then by alphabet.

Ahhh, right. Yeah, there's nothing you can do then. Not in the stock app. Any reason you need the years to begin with considering you don't have them in some already? That would be easy enough to remove before syncing.

Well, I don't like to unnecessarily delete information (anymore than I like to burn books). But its seems like apple prefers book burning. I guess I could delete the years *only* in my iOS device (in essence, disarm iOS). But even in that scenario, it's an 128 gb iPhone with at least 10,000 songs, which means Apple has created unnecessary work for me (again).

It wasn't this way back in iOS 5, (which is what I had prior to this fancy new phone on which I've spent the past 5 hours turning off useless features and settings).
